Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assists the Regulatory, Safety, & Environmental department perform internal and regulatory agencies audits and inspections.  Coordinates and conducts monthly safety training programs at field level meetings.  Assists, with and participates in, the company’s emergency response situations and spill management program.  Maintains the company’s spill response and federal response plans.  Assists the EHS staff with due diligence and environmental remediation projects by tracking all essential documentation associated with projects.  Files and maintains annual Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier II reports.  Assists Regulatory, Safety, and Environmental department with tracking of all air, water, norm, and waste permits, and all modifications and documentation of permits.  Files and maintains all monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports associated with permits and environmental projects.  Assists Regulatory, safety, and Environmental department with risk management programs including the flow line integrity management program.  Assists in maintaining the company’s environmental files and programs.  Implements and maintains company signage program for regulatory compliance.  Files and obtains permits associated with wetlands, coastal management areas and other associated projects such as dredging, drilling structures and pipeline installation permits.  Assists regulatory, safety, and environmental department with all mitigation and environmental compensation programs.

Qualifications:
(2+) years minimum regulatory and environmental oil and gas experience.  Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.  Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.  Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.  Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:  Preferred:            Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Education Requirements:
Required:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college. Preferred:  Degree Specialization in Environmental Sciences.

emissions inventories, and emission testing (engines, vent gases).

We are adding staff to work with our ongoing air permitting, air permit compliance and air/ greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventory projects. The right person will learn and get experience in the growing area for the future: greenhouse gases and air permit compliance.

Location in Lafayette, LA; possible in Houston, TX

  • Five (5) plus years experience in oil and gas environmental and knowledge of oil and gas process
  • Degree in Engineering or Science
  • Experience with Texas and Louisiana air permitting rules and compliance needed
  • Experience with stack testing a plus
  • Experience with Water, Waste, SPCC plans a plus
  • Able to pass Water Survival class; H2S training
  • Willing and able to travel offshore Gulf of Mexico, TX, AL, MS, LA, WY
