Famous Last Words (From the outgoing Chairman)
Happy New Year!
It’s been fun! I’ve enjoyed serving the GCEAG for the past couple of years as Vice-Chairman in 2008 and Chairman in 2009. Thank you for the opportunity. As I go, and we prepare for the New Year, I wanted to say a quick word on just a few things.
Hopefully, you’ll notice that our web site is doing much better after being under the weather (cyber attack) for some time late last year. A lot of thanks are due the new hosts, ImageWorks, LLC. Thanks, Amy and Jeff!
New Officers
We'd like to welcome our new officers. Please support them! They are volunteering their time and they would love to hear from you. Feedback is paramount in doing a good job for you.
Since it is a New Year, new annual dues are now due. Please remember to ante up at the first meeting. We had a net loss for the year in part from some annual dues not collected. There was a small drop in participation. And, we also have seen some cost increases, like the crawfish boil which is an expense we always incur at the beginning of the year. We need to increase some fees a little this year and the new officers will make those announcements at the first meeting and through e-mail after that. Thanks for making the meetings and paying your dues!
Thanks all, for your continued participation in the Gulf Coast Environmental Affairs Group! Together we’ve learned a lot and I hope we’re all anticipating a wonderful year. You are a great group and I look forward to seeing ya’ll at the next meeting!
Till then,
Gregg
